Why 98 Yamaha Exciter Jet Boat 270hp taking large amounts of water? Is this normal?
We need to run the pump package after for short journeys. We also found water in the engine department. Has anyone had problems with this or is it normal for this boat?
2000 Yamaha LS I ,,,,, the same problem all started when the ski rope is drawn closer. He drove the seal the drive shaft. The water enters the engine once it reaches the level of "x" and passes through the exit where the exhaust pipes through the fiberglass. You must run your bilge pump all the time, no matter if you drink water or not! It Water has a "high" switch to tell when the pump. Open the back cover "clean" Hatch compartment, remove the 15 screws holding in the bath tub removed. Disconnect the drain in the tub, but not both connecting electrical safety switch. removed all the cement in bulk on the rotor shaft, collection Speedo, etc. .... must be white-ish color. Re-caulk all. replace tub and a walk the next day. You could have DIF. problem, but it's mine. Check the storage, if you have water in it, get her booked! Take the time to empty the hold, then you're there, no need to connect the pump and have a real problem! Let me know to install a post extended to wake board!
