Gozo is the second largest island of the Maltese archipelago. Greener and more fertile than their big sister, agriculture is the leading company, offering an abundance of milk, eggs, potatoes, tomatoes, melons, oranges and figs. The fish also, and its small fleet provides tasty food and choices for the population of 30,000.

I like nothing better than slow drive through narrow roads in the heart of stone walls of the picturesque village Agriculture and sleep, enjoying the relaxed atmosphere and exquisite landscape. I simply change direction when the road ends at the edge Mediterranean blue, with its magnificent views from the top of the cliff.

Gozo is an island of great religious, every small town a beautiful church that adorn all major cities. For a special visit to mark the famous' Ta Pinu Sanctuary. This beautiful church in the middle of Agriculture picturesque attracts pilgrims from around the world, including Pope John, who arrived in 1990. They come to honor the Virgin Mary and to pray fervently for the healing and favors.

It all started in 1883 when two villagers and Francesco Grima Karmni Portelli heard a mystical voice calls from within Church, as he passed by. They came and prayed for the seriously ill mother of Francesco, who has miraculously recovered. Since miracles then multiplied. Now, attached to the church is a sanctuary dedicated to the thousands of pilgrims stranded near or far, who came with their afflictions were cured, and returned with a deep gratitude to the sanctuary of their aid disposal; witness the miracles of Our Lady Ta Pinu.

Another little corner of paradise Xlendi Bay is the idyllic charm. Beautifully situated at the entrance to a picturesque valley along, hidden by two rocky headlands, is a pleasure for swimming, diving and hiking. Sometimes they spend a week in hibernation happy emerging rebirth, renewal and joy in the beauty of God's creation.

Capital Gozo is Victoria, renamed by the British during the Jubilee Queen Victoria in 1897, but still called his old Arabic name, Rabat, by the islanders. It is a charming, pleasant old self-sufficient in all respects and have been grouped under the shadow of the hill of the old fortress, historically famous and visible from all corners of Island.

I spent many pleasant hours visiting the towers of the medieval fortress high in the geographic center of the island, admiring its magnificent cathedral, wandering through museums, or just fill my soul with beautiful panoramic views of the island by its walls.

Power to enter or leave the island of Gozo, I am always inspired by the exquisite beauty and charm of Mgarr. This small and friendly port, is the dream of an artist, Luzzu decorated with colorful fishing vessels' yachts and luxury tour, surrounded by hills from the sky and landscape, and gently bathed in soft blue Mediterranean.

Like most visitors traveling to and from Gozo by the sea because the ferry excellent Gozo Channel Company. It is a pleasant half-hour trip between Paceville in Malta and Mgarr Harbor and midway we passed a lonely island of Comino currently sparsely populated, with only a hotel, some campers, hikers and birdwatchers.

The Maltese Islands have become a refuge for me. The perfect climate, the slow pace of life and nice people, never fail to warm my heart and inspire my soul. Far from the dizzying heights of some frenetic tourist centers of Europe, the Maltese Islands is still one of continents, the best kept secrets. A relaxed atmosphere and friendly, a fascinating history and culture, and many other unique features, made of small islands in the Mediterranean sparkling jewels.
