How can I fix my Evinrude 20 HP with a problem of jumping?
I am looking for someone who knows an Evinrude 20 hp with a problem jumping. I did compression checks, controls wiring, spark plug checks, controls, vacuum, fuel control, etc. etc. etc.. Ive tried almost everything .. Carborator exchange, even changed the metal plate. Habit idling engine ordnance still sometimes through Carborator. If you can not think of anything that could prove really apperciate. Thank you.
Sounds like synchronization is disabled. How old is this engine? There may be points below the rotor at the top or distributor. That sounds like it should look, former SI model replace the points and set the schedule. SI, electronic ignition is just put on the agenda. In addition, some engines have a Timing Advance, usually as a stick to put the distributor, if any, is you can turn the throttle and turn the distributor to see that also adjustable. But we must something for your time. I thought of something else, you can try and economical, they just sprayed an aerosol by CARB in performance, it captures the carbon in the reeds and things, you can also try, not sure what it was called. Auto-parts stores have, just ask, it is cheaper than a boat dealer.
